Bleomycin is used for palliative treatment and/or adjuvant treatment to surgery and/or radiation therapy in the management of the following neoplasms: The primary indication is the treatment of squamous cell carcinoma of the skin, head and neck and oesophagus. Tumour response has also been obtained in a number of patients with squamous cell carcinoma of the penis, larynx and uterine cervix. Squamous cell carcinoma of the bronchus has shown infrequent response. Bleomycin is also indicated in the treatment of choriocarcinoma and embryonal cell carcinoma of the testis. It has been used effectively in advanced Hodgkin’s disease and in some cases of other lymphomas such as Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma and in mycosis fungoides. HYPERTENSION : CAPOTEN (captopril) is indicated for the treatment of hypertension. In using CAPOTEN, consideration should be given to the risk of neutropenia/agranulocytosis. CAPOTEN is effective alone and in combination with other antihypertensive agents, especially thiazide-type diuretics. The blood pressure lowering effects of captopril and thiazides are approximately additive. It is thus possible to treat diseases in women caused either by increased production of androgens or a particular sensitivity to these hormones. Hirsutism and alopecia may be expected to recur over a period of time after cessation of treatment. If CYPROCUR 50 is taken during pregnancy, the properties of the preparation may lead to signs of feminisation in the male foetus. Therefore, in women of child bearing potential, pregnancy must be excluded at the commencement of treatment and ethinyl oestradiol taken as well to ensure contraception. CYPROCUR 50 reduces the force of the sexual urge in men with sexual deviations. Whilst under treatment, the man can control himself better in a predisposing stimulatory situation, but there is no influence on any deviating direction of sexual drive. Abnormal patterns of sexual behaviour require treatment when they are distressing to the patient. A prerequisite for therapy is the desire by the patient for treatment. CYPROCUR 50 therapy should be supplemented by psychotherapeutic and sociotherapeutic measures in order to exploit the period of reduced drive for personal and social re-orientation.

FOSETIC 20/12.5 tablets contain two medicines, fosinopril sodium and hydrochlorothiazide. Both medicines reduce blood pressure, but work different ways. Fosinopril sodium belongs to a group of medicines called angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors. It works by widening your blood vessels, reducing the pressure in the vessels (reducing 'blood pressure') and by making it easier for your heart to pump blood around your body. This helps your heart to work better by increasing the supply of oxygen to your heart. Hydrochlorothiazide is a diuretic (fluid tablet). It helps reduce the amount of excess fluid in the body by increasing the amount of urine produced. It also lowers high blood pressure, particularly when combined with other blood pressure reducing medicines such as ACE inhibitors. Your doctor may have prescribed FOSETIC 20/12.5 for another reason.

Infections caused by the following microorganisms: Mycoplasma pneumoniae (primary atypical pneumonia); Rickettsiae (Queensland tick typhus, epidemic typhus fever, Q fever, murine endemic typhus fever, Australo-Pacific endemic scrub typhus): Chlamydia psittaci (psittacosis); Chlamydia trachomatis (lymphogranuloma venereum, trachoma, inclusion conjunctivitis). Inclusion conjunctivitis may be treated with oral doxycycline alone, or in combination with topical agents.)
