Aspen Pharmacare Australia commenced operations in May 2001 with a portfolio of products generating sales of $10.5 million. Current annualised sales are over $135 million and growing.
Besides marketing and distributing products owned by the Aspen Group, we also license in products from other companies, and are focused on meeting the needs of our licensors.
We have a pipeline of products from our South African parent which we plan to launch in Australia.
Strategic Partnerships: Our partners and licensors include the biggest names in the pharmaceutical industry, including CSL, Sanofi-Aventis, GlaxoSmithKline, Novartis, Eli Lilly and many others.
We have a results-driven and experienced in-house field force for doctors, specialists and hospitals, and an outsourced field force for pharmacy and grocery.
We have an experienced, successful and proven management team.
Company Strategy
Aspen Pharmacare Australia is an entrepreneurial driven company which seeks to identify and bring to market drugs in specialist areas that are overlooked by the multinational pharmaceutical industry. We often work in partnership with other companies, including the multinationals.
Our emphasis is more on brand building and marketing a product on its merits rather than selling on price and discounts.
Unlike other companies which focus on selected therapeutic areas, or generic companies which are focused on being first to market off-patent drugs, our focus is on niche products in niche markets. Our objective is to build a product portfolio where we are able to achieve market growth through our promotional initiatives rather than necessarily having a comprehensive range for all ailments or on having the cheapest drugs in the market.

The company has 2 divisions: OTC/Grocery and Ethicals, as well as a thriving export business.
